Product details

To compare with wide nip press and conventional roll press, Wide nip press can use lower cost furnish without sacrificing sheet quality. Its advantages like these：
  • Increase water removal： For water removal, the wide nip press produces a sheet that is 5-7% B.D. drier than a conventional roll press.
  • Incremental tonnage： For production capacity, the wide nip press is higher 25-30% of tonnage than a conventional roll press. The drier sheet out of the wide nip press can increase machine speed up to 25% for the same steam consumption.
  • Lower energy consumption： For steam consumption, the wide nip press saves 20% or more than a conventional roll press in steam consumption. For each 1% increase in dryness out of the press, the wide nip press needs 4% less dryer steam. This equates to 20-25% less energy per ton at the dryer.
  • Quality improvement： The nip length of a wide nip press is longer than a conventional roll press by 7-8 times. This increased nip length increases nip residence time. Longer nip residence time improves fiber bonding. The result is a 10% + improvement in properties such as burst strength, ring crush, tensile strength, etc.
